The Barcelona City Council, through the Barcelona Housing Consortium, has launched the allocation process for 64 officially protected homes in the Trinitat Nova UA3 Bloc E development, located at Plaça del Centre de Vida Comunitària, 4-8, in the district of Nou Barris. Allocation will be made by lottery among applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. Below is everything you need to know to participate:
1. What is this housing development?
The development includes 64 homes, divided into two calls:
• Affordable rent: 44 homes
• Social rent: 20 homes
Each call reserves a number of homes for specific profiles, such as people under 35, single-parent families, people requiring adapted housing, and territorial quotas, in addition to the general pool.
2. What are the general requirements to participate?
To be eligible for the homes, you must:
• Be registered in the Official Register of Applicants for Protected Housing in Barcelona before 6 October 2025 (inclusive).
• Be officially resident (empadronat) in Barcelona for at least one continuous year as of 6 October 2025.
• Not own any property.
• Submit your application before 21 October 2025 at 2:30 p.m.
3. What are the specific requirements for each call?
Affordable rent:
• Household size: 1 to 5 members (depending on reservation type).
• Minimum income: €16,000 (1 member) to €20,000 (2–5 members).
• Maximum income: below 5 times the weighted IRSC (2024) — between €62,279.47 and €69,199.41, depending on household size.
Social rent:
• Household size: 2 to 5 members (with specific reservations).
• Minimum income: €4,000 per year.
• Maximum income: below 1.8713 times the weighted IRSC (2024) — between €24,029.60 and €25,898.57.
4. How and when to submit your application
Applications can be submitted until 21 October 2025 at 2:30 p.m. through the Official Register of Applicants for Protected Housing in Barcelona website:
• Trinitat Nova UA3 Bloc E – Affordable Rent
• Trinitat Nova UA3 Bloc E – Social Rent
You may submit one application for each call, provided you meet the requirements. Once the application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.
5. How can I check if I’m eligible?
You can check whether you appear in the participation lists for each call on the Register’s website.
Applicants who meet the requirements will also receive an SMS with a direct link to the application form.
If you apply for both calls, you will receive two SMS messages and appear twice in the listings.
6. What if I don’t appear on the list or don’t receive the SMS?
Applicants who do not appear in the provisional lists will not participate in the draw, likely due to non-compliance with one or more requirements.
If you disagree, you can submit a claim during the open period via the form available on the Register’s website, attaching supporting documentation.
The provisional lists of admitted and excluded applicants will also be published on the same website.
7. Can single-person households participate?
Single-person households can only participate in the affordable rent call.
8. When will the provisional lists of admitted applicants be published?
The provisional lists of admitted and excluded applicants for both calls will be published at the end of October.
The following day, the claim period will open.
