The international film festival organised by the European Federation of Public, Cooperative & Social Housing will hold its fourth edition in Barcelona in 2023.
The festival has become a twice-yearly meeting point for organisations belonging to the Housing Europe network, which brings together 43,000 members from 24 EU countries. These include public, cooperative and social housing providers, between public administrations, social collectives and the professional sector, as well as the university world. The event offers the chance to unify goals, particularly with regard to European institutions.
The 2021 edition, unable to be held due to the pandemic, has become the Social Housing Film Festival, an online event where Barcelona is represented by a documentary on the municipal co-housing programme and the film Ciutat de Granada 145-147-149. The latter centres on a public housing project for elderly people in the Glòries area and can be seen on Thursday, 17 June, at 3 pm.
