The Vincles services has been adapted to cater for the needs of its 2,400 users with regard to COVID-19. The app now includes a health channel, which will be used by a healthcare team to provide information of interest and attend to individual queries.
The channel is organised into 21 groups, with all users distributed into them. Most of them are over 65, and as such form part of the most vulnerable groups when it comes to COVID-19.
The doctor and nurse attending to users will be sharing information on the pandemic and responding to individual queries with text or voice messages.
The new channel is not an emergency phone service. For emergencies users should call 061 or 112.
Vincles is a municipal service aimed at elderly people who feel lonely, facilitating social relationships with their families and other users.
